Jason Bailey: Triple Portrait
Binary drawing.
1/1 NFT. 2024.
Jason Bailey is a standout human in the world where art and technology intersect. He provides a refreshing, relatable, and accessible approach to writing about art. Driving the conversation since 2019 on Artnome.com and now through ClubNFT, which includes rightclicksave.com with thoughtful questions, newsletters, interviews, tools, and more, Jason encourages participation among artists, collectors, thinkers, and enthusiasts. By avoiding the gate keeping aspects of artspeak and MFA buzzword bullshit, Bailey is setting a great example for those looking to engage in writing about art, documenting its progression, and continuing the cultural conversation about why it matters and where it is headed.
In addition to all this, he is very active and humorous on social media, primarily on Twitter @artnome can be found posting thought-provoking statements, sharing hilarious pictures ($13,000,000,000,000,000 painting), and uploading lighthearted selfies wearing his wife’s spectacles.
This combination of critical thinking on art and not taking oneself too seriously lead to this triple portrait. Three views of Jason in varying modes of seriousness coupled with a very poignant statement on digital art from an interview / conversation in early 2024, aim to visualize this dichotomy.
We need more of this in Web3, in the world of art, and in general. Thank you for your contributions Mr. Bailey, I look forward to continuing to learn from you and reading your work.
